Before ASB I was a captive agent at several different insurance companies. Although I tried to put the client first, I was really putting the company first. At ASB I truly can put the client first because I’m not limited to just one company. I can shop different companies and products to find the one that meets my clients needs and objectives. Now I truly put the Service in Customer Service.

Up until my kids were born, I had no problem working 60 plus hours per week. I would work any day, any shift, and all holidays. My first career was in retail/restaurant management. After my kids were born, I wanted to be able to spend time with them, but my career got in the way. I started looking for a different path. I found it with American Senior Benefits. I can work while my kids are in school, that way when they are off, so am I. Also, I know its cliché, but I truly found a company that I can call home. Even though I am an independently contracted agent, I still feel as if I am part of team. Not only do I get the support from my work family, I get to help people along the way. When searching for a new career, I wanted to do something in which I felt like I would be contributing to people’s lives. With the insurances that we have, I can solve problems for my clients. It might be they are worried about the rising cost of their Medicare supplement and I am able to find them something more affordable. Or, they know someone close to them had to be placed in a nursing home, and they don’t want to go that route. So, I help them find a home health care plan that will ensure that they won’t have to go to a facility. Lastly, I can help protect my clients loved ones from financial burden after they pass away by finding them the correct life insurance. Overall, American Senior Benefits has filled each void in my career path.
